Travis Kelce Gives Taylor Swift the ‘Last 22 Hat’ at the ‘Giant Surprise’ Eras Tour Party He Threw

The pop icon marked the conclusion of her Eras Tour extravagantly, relishing one of the beloved customs from her $2 billion venture.

Taylor Swift might finally join in one of the fans’ beloved Eras Tour traditions!

During a gathering for the pop icon in Kansas City — an unexpected event organized by her partner, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, to celebrate the conclusion of her record-setting tour — Kelce presented Swift with the “22” hat, echoing a cherished moment from her performances.

Each night during the tour, the singer would walk confidently down the large catwalk of the stage while singing her Red song “22,” before kneeling at the end to gift a black fedora to one fortunate fan. (Gracie, Selena Gomez’s sister, along with Vanessa and Kobe Bryant’s daughter Bianka, was among the recipients during the 149-date tour.)

At Swift’s party on Wednesday, she had the chance to receive the black fedora directly — this time from Kelce. The moment was photographed in a picture posted by Swift’s close friend Ashley Avignone, which she shared on Instagram on Thursday, Dec. 19 with the caption “and the last 22 hat goes to…”

In a different post, Avignone displayed more photos from the extravagant celebration, highlighting the numerous Eras Tour nods that Kelce organized for the birthday event: the pretend-cleaning cart the “Cruel Summer” artist utilized to move from her dressing room to the stage, the famous green capes Swift wore while presenting her Evermore song “Willow,” and even the friendship bracelets worn by several attendees.

“When she believed she was heading to a cozy, quiet dinner only to discover it was a massive surprise party filled with her friends and family, plus props included 🥳” Avignone wrote in a series of photos she shared on Instagram.

Included in the star-studded guest list was Brittany Mahomes, who wore a glimmering silver fringe mini dress with knee-high boots, reminiscent of Swift’s Fearless era. She was accompanied by her husband Patrick Mahomes, who sported a suit that echoed Kelce’s on-stage Eras Tour appearance from the summer.

Chiefs WAG Lyndsay Bell also embraced the theme, flaunting a pink fringe outfit by Lover, while Avignone adorned herself with a luxurious snake necklace, paying homage to Swift’s sixth album, Reputation, according to Instagram photos posted by Brittany.

Although the birthday girl didn’t wear an Eras Tour outfit — it was a surprise, after all — she still wowed in a $4,290 black Balmain halter-neck minidress adorned with a crystal detail down the front.

Earlier this week, in celebration of Swift’s birthday on December 13, the NFL shared a sweet video featuring the pop star and Kelce — who made their public debut as a couple following a Chiefs game in September 2023. The occasion was celebrated by many members of Swift’s Eras Tour crew, such as dancers and band members, who expressed their excitement on social media about touring with the Grammy-winning artist for the last two years.
