JAY-Z Judge Rules Rape Accuser Can Remain Anonymous ... For Now
A New York judge has given the woman who claims Jay-Z raped her as a teenager permission to remain anonymous, at least for the time being.
Judge Analisa Torres decided the “Jane Doe” accuser could stay anonymous at this stage of the case in court documents submitted on Thursday. The judge also criticized Jay-Z’sattorney,Alex Spiro, in the ruling, claiming that he was being aggressive and attempting to “fast-track” the case.

Judge Torres acknowledged that things might change as the case develops and made it clear that she plans to review the matter if and when it does, even though she granted the plaintiff’s request to proceed anonymously for the time being.

Tony Buzbee, the plaintiff’s lawyer, tells Etonightdaily that while he typically stays silent on decisions like this, he naturally concurs with the decision. Additionally, he disparaged Spiro, claiming that his efforts to portray him as the villain are failing.

The decision comes after Jay-Z’sattorneyfiled documents requesting that the court order the plaintiff to disclose her identity or, in the event that she refused, ask the judge to dismiss the case.

As we previously reported, the alleged victim filed a lawsuit against Diddy in October, alleging that he and an unidentified celebrity had sexually assaulted her at a VMA after-party in 2000 when she was just 13 years old, while an unidentified well-known woman looked on. The accuser refiled the lawsuit earlier this month, excluding the female celebrity and identifying Jay-Z as the unnamed male celebrity.
Jay-Z has responded to the allegations by claiming that the woman and her lawyer, Buzbee, are attempting to blackmail him in order to prevent his name from being made public.
We contacted Jay’s lawyer, but we haven’t heard back yet.
Diddy’s attorneys cited their earlier remarks regarding this lawsuit, telling Etonightdaily The recent extortion lawsuit against Mr. Buzbee and this amended complaint reveal his flurry of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are: blatant publicity stunts intended to extort money from celebrities who are afraid of having false information spread about them, just as Mr. Combs has been the target of false information. Mr. Combs has complete faith in the facts and the fairness of the legal system, as his attorneys have stated previously. The truth—that Mr. Combs never sexually abused or trafficked anyone, adult or child, male or female—will win out in court.
