Jay-Z Is ‘Upset’ His ‘Kids and Family Have to Deal’ with Sexual Assault Allegations, Says His Lawyer
The lawyer also spoke about the rapper’s connection with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who is presently incarcerated, stating that they were only acquainted “professionally.”

Jay-Z’s lawyer is addressing the media for the first time after the rapper was alleged to have raped a 13-year-old girl 24 years back with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Lawyer Alex Spiro provided observations about the attitude of the “Empire State of Mind” artist, known as Shawn Carter, during a press conference in New York City on December 16, according to CNN. The claims against his client were presented in a civil lawsuit that was updated on Dec. 8 to feature Jay-Z, in addition to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, as defendants.
“He’s unhappy. “He’s frustrated that someone could be permitted to act this way, to ridicule the system in this manner,” Spiro remarked about Jay-Z. “… He’s frustrated that his children and family must handle this situation. “He’s angry, and rightfully so.”
The rapper’s lawyer was additionally questioned regarding the case involving Combs, who has been imprisoned since a federal indictment in September accused him of forcing sex trafficking, transporting individuals for prostitution, and engaging in racketeering conspiracy, as well as facing allegations of misconduct and sexual abuse from several purported victims.

“Mr. Carter is not involved with Mr. Combs’s situation or Mr. Combs,” Spiro stated. “They were acquainted with each other in a professional capacity for several years.” Similar to all fields, individuals are acquainted with one another. “At the music awards, they back one another.”
“There is no stronger connection between either of them,” he remarked about Carter and Combs. “That is also a subject of fiction.” That’s everything there is. He is unaware of any details regarding the charges or accusations related to [Combs]. He is not involved in that case.
The woman, identified as Jane Doe and represented by Texas lawyer Tony Buzbee, alleged that she was raped by Carter and Combs after being taken to an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000 while a currently unnamed female celebrity observed.

Jay-Z refuted the claims in an extensive reply on Roc Nation’s X (previously Twitter), stating that the lawsuit was a “blackmail attempt” and expressed that he was “eager to demonstrate how unique I am.”
“You have made a significant misjudgment believing that all ‘celebrities’ are identical,” Jay-Z remarked, in part. “I don’t belong to your world.” I’m a young guy who escaped the projects of Brooklyn. We do not engage in these kinds of games. “We maintain highly rigorous standards and principles.”
Since her complaint was lodged, discrepancies have been noted, according to NBC News, such as her assertion that her father picked her up after the supposed sexual assault, which he does not remember, and her statement about talking to Benji Madden at the afterparty, despite his denial of being in New York then.
Her lawyer Buzbee, informed NBC News on Dec. 13 that while she “made some mistakes” in recounting the “catastrophic event,” it does not imply her accusations are untrue.

Our client is strongly convinced that her assertions are correct, based on her recollection. We will keep verifying her assertions and gathering supporting information as much as possible. Due to our rigorous questioning, she has even consented to undergo a polygraph test. “I’ve never had a client propose that previously,” Buzbee stated to NBC News.
He went on: “We consistently strive to evaluate every claim put forth, just as we did here. This has been profoundly troubling for her, leading to seizures and the need for medical care because of the stress.
After the news broke, Carter issued a statement to PEOPLE stating, in part, “The investigative report released today shows that this ‘attorney’ Buzbee submitted a false claim against me in his quest for money and notoriety. This event never occurred, but he submitted it to the court and reinforced his claims in the media. “Real justice is on its way…”
His lawyer also included in his own comment, “… We request the Court to reject this baseless case today and will address the issue of further sanctions for Mr. Buzbee along with all the attorneys who submitted the complaint.
