With Lauren Hashian, the actor is the father of Simone, 23, Jasmine, 8, and Tiana, 6, as well as his ex-wife Dany Garcia.
Together with his two younger daughters, Dwayne Johnson will always take part in this Christmas custom.
In an interview with PEOPLE prior to the release of his recently released Christmas film Red One, the 52-year-old actor talked openly about his own family’s Christmas customs. Johnson and his ex-wife Dany Garcia have two daughters, Simone, age 23, and Jasmine, age 8, and Tiana, age 6, with Lauren Hashian. “Just getting the family together” is the best part of the holiday season, he tells PEOPLE.
“At home, we have little ones,” he adds sweetly. Santa will arrive. Before sharing his favorite Christmas Eve ritual with Jasmine and Tiana, he said, “That’s exciting.”
He starts by saying that “the kids can’t sleep” because they are too excited and that “what we have started doing now is we stay up late on Christmas Eve, not too late.” “Forcing them to go to bed when they are unable to of doing so is difficult; let’s stay up instead.”
“We’ll watch a Christmas movie and then they’ll pass out and then we will all get ready for Santa,” Johnson says, as they wait for Santa to arrive. “Dude, that’s the exciting part. So much fun.
Going to add that the fun doesn’t end there, he says, “What we’ll do is we’ll leave out the cookies that they made and their notes and you also got to leave out the oats and the vegetables and things like that for all the animals as they coming.”
“When you guys have children, it’s crazy because in the morning, it’s like being a kid again. He discusses with excitement that he gets to eat the cookies and carrots, saying, “The reindeer, they eat all the food.” “Dude, it’s amazing.”
The proud dad spoke to E! News earlier this week about his experience going to bring Jasmine and Tiana to the Moana 2 set to voice two characters and hearing their reactions when they first heard their cameo in theaters.
He told the publication, “They loved it.” “I truly loved it. It was the first time they had seen it. They were literally waiting on the brink of death because they knew they were in it.
Johnson said the wait was well worth it for their sweet response. He recalled, “They were like, ‘That’s me!'” when their scene came up. “It was really awesome.”
He joked, “That’s the good stuff of fame and nepotism.”
