Aaron Rodgers Talks His Romantic Past and Says He 'Didn't Do Myself Any Favors with Some of the Girls I Dated'
The contentious NFL player was in a relationship with actress Olivia Munn and former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick before a short engagement with Shailene Woodley that concluded in 2022.

In a newly released Netflix docuseries centered on Aaron Rodgers, the NFL quarterback reflects on how celebrity affected his life and states that the women he has dated during his career played a role in his fame.
Viewers have gotten a glimpse of Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, which starts streaming today, and its three segments primarily concentrate on Rodgers’ career path and his recent disputes — such as his deceptive and occasionally untrue remarks regarding vaccines and circulating conspiracy theories.
In the second episode of the series, Rodgers, 41, expresses that he “disliked” the fame that followed his Super Bowl victory in 2010, the State Farm commercials, and earning his first NFL MVP Award in 2011.
“I always find it intriguing when individuals comment, regarding the off-the-field spotlight, ‘Well, this is what you agreed to,’” Rodgers mentions, as the documentary displays footage of him greeting former President Barack Obama at the White House post-Super Bowl XLV victory, featuring on The Late Show with David Letterman, and acknowledging a crowd during a parade at Disney World.
“I reject that completely, I never agreed to it,” argues Rodgers. “I joined football since I have a passion for the sport, and I excelled at it due to my intense competitiveness and strong motivation.” However, there’s an entirely different aspect that accompanies it, filled with plenty of amazing things and a lot of bizarre stuff.
Rodgers also talks about his feelings regarding the paparazzi trailing him from that moment in his career onwards.
“I didn’t help myself with some of the girls I dated afterward who were well-known,” he says, as pictures of his past girlfriends Olivia Munn and Danica Patrick, along with his ex-fiancée Shailene Woodley, appear on the screen.

“I absolutely loathed it initially – I mean, truly detested it,” Rodgers shares regarding fame. “I found satisfaction in my personal life.” I liked having the opportunity to visit different places. However, with Super Bowl MVP, MVP, and State Farm commercials, it became slightly more challenging.

Rodgers was in a relationship with Munn, 44, from 2014 until they ended their romance in 2017. The ex-Green Bay Packers quarterback started a relationship with Patrick, the 42-year-old retired NASCAR driver, from 2018 until they ended it in 2020. Rodgers started his relationship with Woodley, 33, in late 2020, and the couple revealed their engagement in 2021. However, Rodgers and Woodley canceled their wedding plans a year later.

PEOPLE stated at the time that Rodgers and Woodley parted ways on “friendly” terms, while the NFL player subsequently used Instagram to “express gratitude” to the Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated actress for their shared moments.
Woodley discussed the couple’s split earlier this month in an interview with Outside magazine: “I haven’t revealed much about my relationship with Aaron because it always brings me to tears.”
“It wasn’t fair,” Woodley stated. “Yet it was lovely.”
Every episode of Aaron Rodgers: Enigma is now available for streaming on Netflix.
