Taylor Swift Supports Travis Kelce After He Breaks Chiefs Touchdown Record During Christmas Day Game
This week, Kelce passed franchise legend Tony Gonzalez with his 77th receiving touchdown against the Chiefs.
Even when she’s not on the sidelines, Taylor Swift is supporting Travis Kelce.
The 34-year-old star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs further cemented his place in the team’s history books on Christmas Day when he scored another receiving touchdown and assisted his team in defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 29–10.
On Wednesday, December 25, Kelce recorded his 77th receiving touchdown with a 12-yard grab in the fourth quarter, officially surpassing Chiefs great Tony Gonzalez for the franchise’s all-time receiving touchdown record. Kelce’s 77 career receiving touchdowns rank slightly higher than Gonzalez’s 76, Otis Taylor’s 57, Tyreek Hill’s 56, and Chris Burford’s 55, according to the NFL itself.
The Chiefs commemorated their most recent record-breaking play that day with a fitting Instagram photo that featured Kelce’s face and the words “most receiving touchdowns.” Additionally, Swift, 35, left a positive “like” on the Chiefs’ photo with a happy caption for Kelce, even though she wasn’t at the game on December 25.
The team wrote, “If you ever can’t find Travis, chances are he’s in the end zone.” “Well done, @killatrav!”

Teammate Jody Fortson, who saluted the fellow tight end with a goat emoji, was among the other fans and friends who joined in congratulating Kelce on his most recent career milestone.
Four days prior to the game that broke the record, Swift was seen supporting Kelce in fuzzy, red outfits at the Chiefs vs. Texans game at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, December 21.
Swift wore black pants and a long red Charlotte Simone winter coat for the outing. She also wore knee-high boots and a red Tod’s bag.

Both for the team and the league overall, Kelce has maintained his record-breaking season. A 19-yard reception against the Carolina Panthers on November 24 was one of Kelce’s standout plays, making him the tight end with the third-most receiving yards in NFL history. He broke Antonio Gates’ record of 11,841 receiving yards at the time.
Gonzalez was questioned about Kelce breaking some of his own records during an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show last month. These records included the most receiving yards ever by a Chiefs player and 11,000 receiving yards in the fewest number of games (154) as a tight end. As said before, Gonzalez continues to hold the NFL record for total yards (15,127) by
Before mentioning how new kinds of fans are approaching him, the father of four, who spent 17 seasons in the NFL, said, “He’s such a good dude and the whole Taylor Swift thing now.”
“I thought, ‘My popularity is growing to the point where a 10-year-old girl wants to talk to me.'” Gonzalez laughed as he said it. “She says, ‘Hey, Do you go by Tony? Are you acquainted with Travis Kelce? However, I think Taylor’s contribution to the NFL is fantastic; she has opened up a whole new audience.
